New Bangkok International Airport

The New Bangkok International Airport (NBIA) - the Suvarnabhumi airport is located in the Samut Prakarn province of Thailand, approx. 30km east of Bangkok. Suvarnabhumi will replace Don Muang as Bangkok's international airport, relegating the latter to domestic-only status. Don Muang is currently the world's 22nd busiest airport and the busiest in Southeast Asia but it has already reached its full capacity at 30 million passengers per annum. Suvarnabhumi eventually will be able to cope with 100 million passengers per year and will have four runways with which to do this.
The NBIA is designed to handle 100 million passengers per year but the first stage of construction will only provide facilities for 30 million passengers annually. Operating as many as 76 flights per hour on two simultaneous runways it will have 51 aircraft stands and 69 remote parking bays for wide-bodied aircrafts and handle over 1.46 million tons of cargo annually.

Thai Shinryo was awarded the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) of the Catering Facilities by DCAP. The facilities can Produce 65,000 sets of airline meals per day. Three catering facilities are envisaged, each comprising a catering building for food preparation, dispatch, storage vehicles parking and circulation areas and direct airside access. The catering facility will include a main building, vehicle parking and circulation areas , guardhouses and security with direct access to both landside and airside road systems.
Transwater Cooling Towers was entrusted to undertake the design, engineering, construction and commissioning of the Concrete Cooling Towers to dissipitate a total of 10,410 RT heat rejection ton of heat load for the Steam Adsorption Chiller. Having concrete as the cooling towers main material means the towers are longer lasting. The six (6) cells concrete structured cooling towers was designed with the best components available in the industry in order to fulfill the stringent requirement specified by the project owner. The infill is a double folded edge high performance rigid PVC besides to provide the required heat exchange, it allows easy maintenance and servicing.
